Meet Brandon a 25 year old from the DFW area. I can honestly say that this young man is probably one of the luckiest clients weve ever had at Flawless Detail. Brandon was attacked and robbed while filling up his gas tank . During the course of the robbery he was stabbed 3 times in the neck. Luckily his girlfriend was with him at the time and was able to rush him to the nearest hospital.
Obviously Brandon was in no shape to shop for a detail service that was not only willing to take on such a cleaning but one that was able to address the issue at hand, massive blood stains . His mother and father came in one afternoon to show us the car. As a father myself I immediately empathized with these poor folks. Because at this very moment they were unsure if Brandon was going to survive let alone be his normal healthy self. After going through our process with Brandons parents they both felt comfortable entrusting us with this massive interior cleaning.
An Interior detail such as this was going to require all of our skills and know how.
The first order of any Interior detail is to clean out as much dirt and debris possible. Anything big enough to be thrown away but too big to be sucked up by a vacuum is removed from the vehicle. From there we begin pulling the seats out of the car. This allows us to clean the seats all the way around and also gives us direct access to the carpet below the seats. Most interior details dont require such an extreme step however Brandon lost almost 5 pints of blood inside the car. Once we had the seats out w finally got a look at just how much blood was there.
When dealing with blood stains or any other substance that has the potential to die a fabric a different color you must extract all the material out of the carpets before dealing with the stain itself. This proved to be a very unpleasant task but we persevered. Once all the blood was extracted out of the carpets we were able to treat the stains with an acidic tannin remover and a two part hydrogen peroxide cleaner. Unfortunately there is only so much that can be done after an event like this so the stains did not 100% remove from the car. But the difference was night and day! Even with the less than perfect result you would never be able to tell that someone almost died in this car.
So this entire interior detail took us about two days. Guess who came to pick up his car? Thats right the lucky young man himself!
While this is definitely not a normal situation that we do all the time, but if we can fix an issue like this, imagine what we can do with your car! Call us today and schedule your interior detail!
