As a car detailer we see just about every kind of car owner there is. There are some that take meticulous care of every aspect of their car and some that somewhat do and then theres the dreaded “Ive never had it detailed before” client. In a perfect world everyone would never eat or drink in their car, always have their paint waxed or ceramic coated, never get in the car dirty and sweaty, and definitely never transporting pets around. In reality, this is just not practical and with the fast paced world of today theres very little free time to take care of our cars like we promised the day we bought it. Sounds like a great setup for why you should find a high quality auto detailer like us, doesn’t it?
So just how often should you get your car detailed? Well the answer is not a one sized fits all. For some the answer may be every month, for others 3 to 4 times a year and some even once or twice a year.
So what factors into this detailed calculation?
Well lets say you only drive your car on the weekends and it sits in your garage most of the time. Obviously this car wont need much regular attention, perhaps once or twice a year. Its still very important to keep a good wax, sealant, or ceramic coating on the paint because even with this low miler having proper paint protection keeps your vehicle shining and protected from the perils of the road and nature.

Now take for example someone with 3 kids in their teens who drives to and from carpool, sports practices/games and family weekend activities. That cars interior is getting a workout on a day to day basis. Every day particles of dirt fall in to your carpet and seats . Dead skin cells begin to collect on plastic trim. Candy wrappers and food crumbs fall into cracks and crevices. Pet hair becomes ever more woven into the fabrics on the backs of seats. With all of this in mind an interior detail once a month is not overkill.
Why it Matters.
Aside from dead skin build up and all of the above mentioned nastiness being really gross, these factors left unchecked can actually permanently damage the look of your cars interior. While getting your car detailed regularly ensures your cars interior is free of these factors. An interior detail, done properly, preserves your cars interior surfaces by adding products designed to keep your car looking new for years.
